Known for their considerable warmth and simplicity, A-frame cabins are incredibly unique and inviting structures that make ideal mountain getaways, primary homes, and backyard ADUs. With an A-frame cabin like the Wallowa, clients can enjoy all the benefits of a traditional A-frame plus the bonus of seeing our premium Douglas fir timbers throughout their personalized living space.
This A-frame cabin kit utilizes heavy timber rafters, structural insulated panels, and wall studs to form the structural frame. This hybrid construction method allows us to highlight the exposed heavy timbers in your loft area while creating an energy-efficient structure that will keep you and your family cozy in any season. The Wallowa comes in two standard sizes — the first being our Wallowa 40′, which features an open-concept living space, a one-bedroom loft, and an upstairs and downstairs deck area. The second option is our Wallowa 50′, which offers two additional bedrooms on the ground floor and a bonus lounge area in the upstairs loft space.

Perfect for clients seeking a vacation home, a backyard studio, or a single-family residence, the Wallowa offers all the comfort, style, and function you could want in a minimalist structure. With 1,048 sq. ft. of conditioned living space plus 338 sq. ft. of outdoor deck space, this cabin could serve just about any purpose you can imagine on your property. The main level features a wide-open living, dining, and kitchen area with a half bathroom that offers laundry and mechanical room access. Upstairs, clients can enjoy a 314 sq. ft. one-bedroom loft area with a full bathroom and closet.
Wallowa 50'
This A-frame cabin design offers an all-encompassing layout perfect for a beautiful vacation rental, family home, or detached guest house, to name a few. The Wallowa 50′ comes out to 2,022 square feet, with 1,607 square feet of conditioned living space and 415 square feet of deck space that you can modify according to your style and needs. With its three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and open-concept living space, this A-frame cabin presents several exciting possibilities for your personalized interior.
Wallowa 40' Floor Plan Details
The Wallowa offers numerous possibilities for your interior beyond our sample floor plan. Although this model is naturally suited to a one-bedroom layout, you can transform your interior to accommodate your hobbies, work, or storage needs. On the main level, you’ll find a cozy living space with a modern kitchen and a dining area. There’s also a half bathroom with laundry and mechanical room access and a 223 sq. ft. deck directly outside the living room. Upstairs, clients can utilize a one-bedroom loft with a full bathroom, closet, and 115 sq. ft. of deck space.

Wallowa 50' Floor Plan Details
The Wallowa 50′ is a stunning A-frame cabin design that features three bedrooms, including a one-bedroom loft with a lounge area, two bathrooms, a wide-open living space, and over 400 sq. ft. of outdoor deck space. On the main level, you’ll find an inviting living, dining, and modern kitchen area with large picture windows and sliding patio doors leading out to a spacious deck. There’s also a full bathroom next to the stairs and two bedrooms toward the back of the structure. Upstairs, a one-bedroom loft with a full bathroom, closet, and lounge provides a relaxing getaway from the day-to-day.
