Project Summary:
Our in-house design team modeled this beautiful gable-style horse barn after the Columbia Barn Kit. This post and beam structure features an open ground floor with two stables and Classic Equine sliding barn doors. There’s also a two-sided custom fireplace that can be used as a blacksmithing forge or enjoyed outside underneath an 856 sq. ft. covered shed roof.
Toward the back, a spacious upstairs hayloft can be accessed via a staircase or through a trap door inside. With 1,546 square feet of functional space, our client has plenty of room for both storage and work. Steel framed hayloft doors open on the other side of the barn, making it easy for our client to tend to their horses. Additionally, a classic custom cupola sits atop the building, allowing natural light to pour through the space.

Custom Features:
This gable barn and workshop in Sandy, Oregon, offers the ideal setup for our client’s hobbies and horses. The exterior features Classic Equine breezeway doors in a striking red color with black accented crossbucks and matching hayloft doors. The front and rear of the barn also boast a custom pagoda-style peak that doubles as a cover for the entrance and back door. This classic barn comes with a custom two-sided fireplace that offers blacksmithing capabilities. Other unique features in this structure include a 40′ x 36′ hayloft, floor to ceiling tongue and groove wall coverings throughout the space, and a heavy timber framing system.
