Project Summary:
Adapted from our King Post Pavilion Kit, this custom timber frame breezeway creates a luxurious pathway between our client’s house and their covered riding arena. An oversized version of our King Post Pavilion Kit sits at the center of this design, with extended shed roofs connecting the pavilion to the house and arena.
This custom design features a heavy timber roof upgrade, with 8″ x 8″ select grade Douglas fir columns and rafter beams, 2″ x 6″ tongue and groove roof decking, and 4″ x 10″ Douglas fir rafters adding to the structural integrity and beauty of the structure. Additionally, we engineered this structure to handle heavy snow loads, ensuring our client’s pavilion remains sturdy and resilient in fluctuating winter conditions.

This custom King Post Pavilion Kit is an excellent example of how customizable our kits, including our pavilions and pergolas, can be. This design started with our standard King Post Pavilion Kit, with our client and designers later transforming it into a 2,205 sq. ft. covered breezeway with gorgeous heavy timber accents. This one-of-a-kind breezeway features oversized Douglas fir timbers, tongue and groove ceilings, and expertly sawn double ridge timber trusses. Our team designed this structure with matching roof material and stain to our client’s home, creating a seamless timber extension that adds beauty, value, and utility to their property.
