Washington Barn Home & Workspace

Washington Barn Home & Workspace
Shelton, WA5,895 Sq. Ft.

Project Summary:

This luxurious barn home in Shelton, Washington, features an interior as serene and captivating as its surrounding grasslands. Beginning with an Oakridge 60′ Apartment Barn Kit, our designers transformed this client’s vision for a multi-use structure into an exceptional home and workspace bursting with character.

The main level splits into several distinct rooms, all revolving around a 1,282 sq. ft. garage and shop area with an attached, light-filled office. A 744 sq. ft. commercial kitchen with a walk-in pantry offers a spacious and well-stocked area for preparing meals, making it an essential part of our client’s busy workday. Additionally, our client can utilize a full bathroom and laundry area when entering through the foyer.

One floor up, a magnificent open concept living space with a dining room and multiple seating areas offers the ideal setting for relaxing after a long day on the job. A dividing wall separates the living space from a primary bedroom suite with an attached full bathroom and an adjacent modern kitchen. Outside their second story living quarters—and from their downstairs workspace, for that matter—our client can take in the sunset from multiple outdoor living areas, including two decks, a covered patio, and a timber shed roof.

Custom Features:

Designed from our Oakridge Apartment Barn Kit, this beautiful home and workspace in Shelton, Washington, boasts numerous upgrades that make it stand out from our standard model. The first and most striking may be its uncommon layout, which sees the main level split into a workspace with a commercial kitchen and foyer, while the upstairs features an open living space with an enclosed bedroom and modern kitchen. The contrast of wood accents and dark colors also plays a crucial role in the design of this home, with wood trim Andersen windows and dark gray accent walls giving the space its modern and sophisticated appearance. Lastly, design modifications like the addition of a 12′ x 24′ deck, a covered shed roof and patio, and an exterior staircase enhance the capabilities of this structure, ensuring our client can enjoy their outdoor living space just as much as their gorgeous interior.
