Burlington Horse Barn With Living Quarters

Burlington Horse Barn With Living Quarters
Burlington, NC2,512 Sq. Ft.

Project Summary:

Modified from our Powell Monitor Barn Kit, this beautiful horse barn with living quarters in Burlington, North Carolina is one of three equestrian structures we designed for our clients’ property. The main level serves as both a four-stall horse barn with a tack and feed room and a one-bedroom living quarters complete with a full kitchen, living room, and master suite. A spiral staircase in the kitchen leads to the raised center aisle, which our clients converted into a cozy lounge and office area with a cantilevered deck. Additional features include the addition of a window in the kitchen that overlooks the adjoining horse barn, heavy timber roof upgrades, custom exterior grade doors, and dark wood stain throughout the interior and exterior.

Custom Features:

This barn with living quarters features several custom details that make this structure stand out from others of its kind. For instance, the living quarters is located on the main level across from our clients’ horse barn, with a window in the kitchen that looks into the breezeway aisle. Dark wood stain throughout the interior and exterior adds an elegant touch to this structure, along with custom exterior grade doors and stall fronts that are tailored to the clients’ needs. Additionally, a heavy timber roof upgrade above the raised center aisle makes the upstairs loft area feel distinctly rustic, with a small carved out desk nook providing the ideal workspace.
