Project Summary:
This custom pool house in Escondido, California, makes up one-third of a brand-new commercial development we completed for Wedgewood Weddings. Using the Columbia Gable Barn Kit as a starting point, our team adapted this one-of-a-kind pool house for their property, with this structure providing every necessity for visitors and staff.
The interior features ADA bathrooms, accessible changing rooms, an office, and a comfy common area where people can relax while waiting for friends and family. Tall ceilings with tongue and groove coverings, clerestory windows, and gridded picture windows add to the welcoming ambiance of the space. Outside, a patio area provides additional seating for those coming and going from the adjacent pool.

Custom Features:
Adapted from our Columbia Gable Barn Kit, this cozy pool house features numerous upgrades and customizations, including Woodtone RusticSeries siding, tongue and groove ceiling coverings, and gridded picture windows. Our team modified this building design to meet the needs of our clients, with our designers adding ADA bathrooms, changing rooms, an office, and a common area to the layout. To accommodate their vision further, our designers removed several standard kit components, including existing side walls, upper gable and lower gable ends, a loft with a staircase, a 12′ X 48′ shed roof, and a hayloft door triangle top. Additionally, we conducted a commercial design review of the structure, providing structural and MEP engineering for the space, and integrated WUI fire-safe materials into the resulting design.
