Modified from our Columbia Gable Barn Kit, this horse barn in Carbondale, Colorado, sits on a scenic hillside property with beautiful views of Mt. Sopris. With its classic wood-clad exterior and barn-style accents, this post and beam structure blends seamlessly with its surroundings, offering a gorgeous animal sanctuary amid sprawling green pastures.
Inside the space, our clients can take advantage of four 12′ x 12′ horse stalls, a miniature 8′ x 12′ stall, a tack room, hay storage, and covered storage. A portion of the barn opens to the second story, with high ceilings creating a bright and expansive interior. Upstairs, an enclosed 476 sq. ft. loft offers plenty of space for storage and entertainment.

Custom Features:
This horse barn in Carbondale, Colorado, features numerous upgrades and modifications that set it apart from our standard Columbia Gable Barn Kit. For instance, our clients decreased their building footprint from 36′ x 36′ to 32′ x 34′, adding two 17′ x 32′ shed dormers instead for covered storage and shaded paddock space. They also moved the center loft area to the gable end, creating a spacious barn interior with two-story high ceilings and tall Douglas fir posts, and added a 6′ x 10′ deck with an exterior staircase that connects to the loft space.
To achieve its traditional barn appearance, our clients incorporated a mix of cedar and Douglas fir tongue and groove siding and board and batten siding. Inside, Legend Series stall fronts and components from Classic Equine add sophistication to the interior, giving it an attractive rustic feel that highlights the impeccable quality of our products.
