Project Summary:


This beautiful barn-style garage with living quarters sits on a beautiful property outside Sandy, Oregon, on the edge of the Mt. Hood National Forest. The main level features a 1,965 sq. ft. workshop with a drive-through RV garage, including two 13’ 6” overhead doors. Inside, you’ll also find a separate 200 sq. ft. garage, 3/4 bathroom, mud room, and a built-in gun safe with a faux wall and secret door.

Upstairs, the focus of the living quarters is an expansive open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area with a stone fireplace, all attached to a 432 sq. ft. deck. The primary bedroom includes a walk-in closet and en suite bathroom, just down the hall from two more bedrooms and another full bathroom.

This one-of-a-kind home is clad with cedar board and batten siding with cedar trim and features a handcrafted heavy timber truss and a classic barn-style cupola.

Custom Features:

This impressive garage with living quarters features several custom details throughout, including a 432 sq. ft. covered deck with an exterior staircase, a stone fireplace in the living room, and heavy timber trusses that adorn the gable ends of the structure. Our designers added three overhead garage doors on the main level, with one leading to a drive-through RV garage bay where our clients can easily access their recreational vehicle. We also designed the garage to include a built-in gun safe with a secret access point, a mudroom, and a powder room. Other custom features include a windowed cupola, sliding barn doors, and rustic wood trim around the windows and doors inside the home.
