Project Summary:
Based on our Shasta RV Barn Kit, this one-of-a-kind barn home in northern Washington State features a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home and RV garage under one roof. This post and beam structure is home to a 36′ fifth-wheel RV that can drive straight through the structure, thanks to a pair of 14′ x 14′ overhead doors. An additional 10′ x 12′ door on the main level offers easy transportation for other vehicles and equipment.
Upstairs, the open-concept living area impresses with vaulted ceilings and exposed structural timbers. Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms round out the second story, including a spacious primary bedroom to the left of the living room. We also designed this structure with a 14′ x 14′ deck, two decorative heavy timber trusses, and a 5′ x 5′ cupola with windows directly above the great room.

Custom Features:
There are many striking features on display in this Northern Washington barn home, including modern overhead garage doors, Western red cedar board and batten siding, and heavy timber trusses on the gable sides of the building. Unlike our standard Shasta RV Barn Kit, this design includes a heavy timber covered entry and a gable dormer centered above the deck. Some heavy timber elements were stained grayish-black to complement the deep reddish wood stain for the exterior. This home also features a combination of single-hung, gliding, and transom windows that add to its uniqueness.
