Puget Sound Apartment Barn

Shelton, WA

Oakridge 60′

PROJECT SUMMARY:

This special Oakridge 60′ apartment barn in Shelton, Washington sits on the banks of the Skokomish River just a few miles east of the Olympic National Forest and a few miles west of Puget Sound.

Our client started with our 36′ x 60′ Oakridge model and added two shed roofs–one fully open and one partially enclosed–to create a 60′ x 60′ footprint. The main level is a 2,449 sq. ft. mixed use workshop with a full commercial kitchen, a full bathroom, laundry, and a foyer offering ground floor access to the living space on the second level.

Upstairs, you’ll find a well-appointed studio apartment with a modern kitchen and a spacious living area with access to one of two decks. An exterior staircase provides direct entry from outside. Behind the apartment is a large recreational space with a wood burning stove and access to a larger covered deck with an overhang equipped with a handcrafted heavy timber truss. This project is currently under construction. Check back later for photos of the completed structure!
