Project Summary:
This bright and beautiful horse barn and workshop in Santa Cruz, California, was crafted from a modified Columbia Horse Barn Kit. Large angular windows on the gable sides fill the building with natural light, illuminating our Douglas fir timbers inside the barn. Four horse stalls outfitted with Classic Equine stall fronts, a feed stall, a tack room, two grooming stalls, and a 24′ x 14′ workshop round out this single-story structure. A custom cedar cupola with windows adds functionality to this design while giving the structure a classic barn look. Inside, our select grade Douglas fir tongue and groove material lines the wall and ceilings of this horse barn and workshop. Other unique elements in this structure include the addition of Classic Equine Legend Series stall fronts, stall partitions with vertical wood fill, automatic waterers, and Dutch doors with French-style window grilles inside the stalls. The exterior features select tight knot cedar lap siding with a white-tan color scheme and an 8′ x 12′ entry portico that brings this timeless design together.
