Southern Oregon Barn Home

Medford, OR4,360 Sq. Ft.

Project Summary:

Modified from our Oakridge 60’ Apartment Barn Kit, this stately barn home in Medford, Oregon is the perfect blend of style and function. The first floor is almost entirely dedicated to a large RV garage and shop area, save for a spacious foyer with a small bar and half bathroom on the opposite end. Outside the foyer, a custom 432 sq. ft. portico with a decorative timber truss serves as both a covered entryway and outdoor entertainment area. There’s also a large double-sided fireplace that our clients can utilize in both their entry and portico.

Custom double L-shaped stairs in the foyer lead to an open-concept great room, kitchen, and dining area with an attached full bathroom. There are dozens of stunning details inside the space, including our Douglas fir tongue and groove ceiling upgrade, trapezoid windows from Andersen, and a massive kitchen island with a stovetop and range hood. Down the hall, you’ll find three bedrooms, including a master bedroom with a beautiful en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet, and cantilevered deck. Clients can also take advantage of a laundry room, storage closet, and walk-in pantry.

Custom Features:

This barn home features a litany of custom selections and structural upgrades throughout. On the first floor, we added a covered shed roof to accommodate a drive-through RV garage bay, as well as five overhead garage doors and a custom 36’ x 12’ portico outside the entryway. Our designers also raised the structure by five feet on the sidewalls and added double-wall framing with CDX sheathing. Additionally, our clients replaced our standard cedar deck with a cantilevered upgrade and added a tongue and groove ceiling upgrade, Andersen trapezoid windows, and a skylight to their upstairs living space.
