Wyoming Horse Barn With Living Quarters

Jackson, WY4,108 Sq. Ft.

Project Summary:

This horse barn with living quarters in Jackson, Wyoming, is a highly customized Oakridge 36′ that’s packed with personality and charm. With its angular windows and charcoal-colored siding, this post and beam structure boasts a striking modern appearance that deviates from other, more traditional barn designs. Still, features like its crossbuck-accented breezeway and Dutch doors add a cozy, classic touch that makes the exterior even more unique.

Inside this structure, you’ll find a beautiful four-stall horse barn with covered turnouts, tack storage, and Noble stall fronts on the first floor. Clients can also utilize two storage areas on opposite sides of the foyer and a half bathroom in the barn. Upstairs, a two-bedroom apartment features dozens of eye-catching details, including tongue and groove ceilings, trapezoid window walls, butcher block countertops, and glossy blue cabinetry. A 349 sq. ft. deck outside the open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area provides plenty of space for barbecuing, relaxing, and taking in the property views. There’s also a full bathroom, half bathroom, laundry area, and walk-in closet space inside the living space.

Custom Features:

Modified from our Oakridge 36′ Apartment Barn Kit, this horse barn with living quarters features numerous custom details tailored to our client’s style and location. For instance, our client added our exclusive pre-staining service to their building package to create a cohesive look for their exterior siding, trim, and interior posts and beams. This service didn’t just provide them with beautifully stained components but all-over coverage and protection for their materials. We also added an engineering upgrade that dramatically increased the snow load capacity for their roof and deck, and included fire-rated CDX sheathing on the soffit material under the deck. Additionally, our client opted for Noble Stalls and Classic Equine breezeway doors that give the barn a classic yet contemporary look.
