This cabin in Raphine, Virginia, sits on a beautiful property with scenic vistas of the George Washington & Jefferson National Forest. Based on our Rogue Cabin Kit, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom home utilizes an efficient floor plan that totals just 948 square feet, plus a 312 square foot covered porch. The single-story home includes a primary bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a full bathroom with laundry, and a great room with a modern kitchen and a large picture window.
The structure is clad in select-grade cedar siding and trim with heavy timber knee braces crafted from fine Douglas fir from the Pacific Northwest. These clients also used faux structural beams in their living area for an improved aesthetic.

With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area, this cabin offers all the comforts of a traditional Rogue plus a few bonus details that make it truly one-of-a-kind. We designed this cabin with a large picture window at the front of the home so our clients can enjoy panoramic mountain views from their great room. We also incorporated faux beams in the main living space to create a more rustic setting that feels like an authentic cabin in the woods.
