This eye-catching custom workshop in Moss Beach, California, is fashioned from a Brightwood Clerestory Barn Kit. A striking combination of HardiePanel vertical fiber cement siding, select-grade cedar trim and fascia, and a classic red-and-white paint scheme make this barn ‘pop!’ This structure is primarily used as a workshop and storage barn, with plenty of heavy-duty barn doors to provide access for vehicles and equipment. A cozy second-story loft serves as a private home office.

Custom Features:
This highly efficient workshop in Moss Beach, California, boasts several custom features in and outside the barn. This structure keeps a similar layout to our Brightwood Clerestory Barn Kit, save for the 144 sq. ft. loft we designed inside the space. Our team carved out an L-shaped staircase toward the back of the structure, with a cantilevered deck leading into the loft area. Hardie Panel board and batten siding in a red and white color scheme and Classic Equine breezeway doors with quad glass inserts give the exterior a classic barn appearance. Something unique about this barn is that our client opted to leave their framing and wall components fully exposed inside the space, creating a DIY-style interior that looks and feels like a personal workshop. With its clerestory windows, exposed heavy timber elements, and vibrant exterior, this structure makes the perfect set-up for a workshop and office space.
