Project Summary:
Crafted from our Sunnyside Event Barn Kit, this stunning wedding barn features a bright and adaptable ceremony space overlooking a tree-lined vista in Thorndale, Texas. Coming in at 7,599 square feet, this extravagant venue boasts all the classic amenities of a DC wedding barn, including a large ceremony hall, prep kitchen, and bridal suite, plus a few extras that make it wholly unique.
Outside, this venue makes a bold statement with its eclectic mix of picture and asymmetrical windows, black trim, and sharp gable point. The roof extends to create two covered patios on either side of the entrance, providing guests with cozy standing and seating areas where they can mingle between festivities.
Once inside, a grand ceremony hall, accentuated by dramatic window walls, vaulted ceilings, and exposed timbers, welcomes wedding parties. Above, three large, windowed cupolas allow natural light to pour in from the ceiling, with tongue-and-groove cladding and large chandeliers adding warmth and romance to the space. Toward the rear, a prep kitchen, storage area, and ADA-compliant restrooms can be accessed through two hallways on either side of the central staircase. Upstairs, a private bridal suite awaits, providing the bride and her closest confidantes with a comfortable lounge and vanity area perfect for wedding prep.

Custom Features:
This modified Sunnyside may resemble our standard model in many ways, but it also boasts several features that make it stand out entirely. For instance, our clients adapted this structure to include three windowed cupolas, three shed dormers, and a wall of picture windows and asymmetrical windows. They also extended the roofline to create two covered outdoor areas, providing their guests with ample outdoor space for relaxing, mingling, and taking in gorgeous property views. Additionally, this wedding barn was designed to include a second-story loft, creating a dramatically open interior with high, vaulted ceilings and a stunning grand staircase. By taking full advantage of our custom design capabilities, these clients were able to turn their dream of a serene and sophisticated wedding barn into reality, and we couldn’t be more impressed by the result!
