Project Summary:
Inspired by our Sunnyside Event Barn Kit, this ranch-style wedding venue in Escondido, California, offers an idyllic setting for any couple’s big day. This modern barn structure is one of three buildings we designed and fabricated for Wedgewood Weddings, with the other two being a pool house and service building.
With 3,600 square feet of conditioned barn space plus a 224 sq. ft. covered patio and a 256 sq. ft. storage area, this venue provides ample room for up to 200 guests. Vaulted ceilings with exposed Douglas fir beams, gridded windows, and glass overhead garage doors create an exceptionally bright and inviting interior. Outside, guests can take advantage of an intimate ceremony lawn and a large seating area perfect for post-wedding gatherings.

Custom Features:
This wedding barn in Escondido, California, differs slightly from our base Sunnyside kit model, with minor alterations and design changes making this venue highly attractive and unique. For instance, our client decided to reduce the length of our Sunnyside 72′ Event Barn Kit, creating a 60′ x 60′ venue instead. They also tastefully removed and replaced several standard components, including the gable end, side walls, window package, sliding barn doors with quad glass tops, and four interior posts. Additionally, our team oversaw structural and MEP engineering for this barn structure as part of our commercial design review process and added WUI fire-safe materials to ensure optimal protection for this building. We couldn’t be prouder of the result of this collaboration and thank our dear friends at Wedgewood Weddings for trusting us with their gorgeous venue project!
