Project Summary:
Located on a secluded property in Burlington, North Dakota, this barn-style wedding venue features a litany of custom details that make this venue stand out from others of its kind. Adapted from our Sunnyside Event Barn Kit, this magnificent wedding barn underwent numerous structural modifications to accommodate a second-story loft and large ceremony and reception area. These modifications include expanding the building from 72’ to 96’, raising the sidewalls by 7’, adding two 12’ enclosed shed roofs, and creating a 60’ x 24’ upstairs area for office and personal use. Outside, a 36’ x 36’ post and beam outdoor patio offers plenty of space for relaxing in between festivities, while a 24’ x 12’ covered entry provides the perfect entryway.

Custom Features:
This barn-style wedding venue in Burlington, North Dakota, offers the ideal setting for indoor and outdoor festivities. With the help of our designers, our clients were able to transform our Sunnyside Event Barn Kit into a massive wedding venue with dozens of unique design accents throughout. To accommodate their desire for more clearance in the main hall, we designed this structure with a combination of clear span trusses and oversized glulam beams. We also raised the height of the building by 7′ at the sidewalls and expanded the building footprint from 72’ to 96’. Our clients opted to include a 1440 sq. ft. loft space for personal use inside the venue. Outside, a 36′ x 36′ outdoor patio cover and a 24′ X 12′ portico-covered entry add visual appeal and functionality to the structure. Additional custom features include a 48 ” x 48 ” cedar cupola with windows, select grade Douglas fir T&G siding for the patio cover and soffits, and two mortise and tenon flat bottom trusses on the gable ends.
