Stillwater Office Barn

Stillwater, OK971 Sq. Ft.

Project Summary:

This unique barn-style office in Stillwater, Oklahoma, is the namesake of our Stillwater Barn Home Kit. Originally a custom project, this bright turquoise building was so popular with prospective clients that we decided to turn it into one of our standard models. With 971 square feet of conditioned living space, the simple 24′ x 36′ structure offers a wide-open office space filled with natural light from the numerous large windows, including two glass curtain walls. This clear span structure does not include interior posts, thanks to concealed parallel chord roof trusses that adorn the roof.

The main level features a kitchenette with a farmhouse sink, a great room with a gas fireplace topped with a heavy timber mantel, a powder room, and a room for mechanical equipment and storage. Upstairs, a small loft features additional office space and a cozy seating area. A laundry list of custom details helps this project stand out, including faux reclaimed barn wood siding made from new Western red cedar boards and battens, custom cabinetry and built-ins, and stained concrete floors.
