When we say our pre-engineered building kits are flexible to your vision, we really mean it! Just take this massive custom home and car barn in Brenham, Texas, as a shining example of what our clients can do with their preferred building models. Modified from our Union Event Barn Kit, this whopping 12,131 sq. ft. family residence features an impressive 5,206 sq. ft. garage, a 3,794 sq. ft. conditioned living space, a 1,496 sq. ft. loft, an 846 sq. ft. covered entry, and a 789 sq. ft. covered pool patio. Elements of our Legacy Event Barn Kit are present throughout the structure, namely in its large cupolas, clerestory windows, and window walls. However, this incredible home stands out entirely as a custom design, with plenty more unique features to see in and outside the structure.
The first floor opens to an open-concept entertainment space with two-story tall heavy timber ceilings, massive custom timber frame trusses, and a Texas-sized stone fireplace — perfect for chilly winter evenings or cozying up with the family. A window wall to the right of the great room brings tons of natural light into the space, while a set of sliding patio doors offer access to our client’s covered outdoor living space and infinity pool. To the left of the enormous entertainment area, you’ll find a modern kitchen with a large granite island and a hallway that connects with the garage, a half bathroom, and a separate living space. Inside this secluded living area, two spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms and a bunk room with a private bathroom offer the ideal set-up for frequent entertaining.
A spiral staircase in the garage leads to a wide-open loft with a foosball table and a lounge area. Again, custom timber frame trusses adorn the ceilings inside the upstairs loft and garage, creating a truly breathtaking visual element that adds volumes to either space.

This 60′ x 150′ structure is one of the more unique custom home designs we’ve ever completed. With its massive heavy timber trusses, wide-open living spaces, and enormous footprint, this custom home and car barn offers a truly one-of-a-kind space with endless possibilities. Something that immediately stands out in this structure is the sheer size of its many design details. From the stone walls that cover the front and rear of the entertainment area to its jumbo-sized cupolas, trusses, and window walls, every element is a testament to the saying: “Everything’s bigger in Texas.”
